Marcia's Life as a Run-on Sentence

Blog EntryPicture Perfect - MOVEMENTMar 6, '08 2:02 AM
for everyone

My two dogs, Iain and Teddy, playing in the snow.
They came straight for each other and collided in a smashing of snow.
This was taken with a Nikon D50 with 55mm lens.

~ Each week a theme will be posted up on Thursday, and you are invited to put up your best picture with that theme in mind, it should be just

 ONE and ORIGINAL,

 i.e not off the internet,

Then come back and post a comment on this page
so that everyone can link to your blog and see your pic.

By all means mention your camera and lens used, and if the picture has been altered or enhanced in anyway! Out of the box thinking is encouraged!!

Please open your page for viewing for all for that day...and then visit as many others as you can! Try and post a decent size pic on your blog page, so much is lost if the pic is too small or too big.

The entries will close at midnight on Friday

I'll never get over how much our dogs love the snow! Their favorite game seems to be "Snowplow" where they bury their nose in the snow and then run at full speed. Teddy, the Pomeranian, loves to bury his face in it and then shake his head - coming up with a face full of snow! They're a real kick! I love snow, but I think they're more enthusiastic than even I am. :-)
Thanks for stopping by!

My dogs love snow! I just don't love picking all the snowballs out of their fur when they are finally ready to come in. They look like they are wearing little Snow-created UGG boots! Love from Colleen

I just checked out your photo and was completely blown away by it! What a happy, energetic little guy! I want one! Thanks for stopping by and thanks again for posting your photo - it's simply gorgeous!

Oh Colleen, I know what you mean! The funny thing is, our Pomeranians will walk around the house dripping from the snow balls and not be too enthused when you try to pull them off of them. However, the Shelties also accumulate the snowballs; however, they have the great good sense to sit on the waterproof rugs and chew them off. Funny, isn't it. I love your UGG boots analogy! Sassie collects them much more than Teddy, although they are both Poms, and she gets them on her underside. Several times I wondered how she was able to get from "point A" to "point B" as she had ones on her tummy that were the size of softballs! They always look so pleased with themselves to, don't they?
Take good care - Love & Hugs!

Iain & Teddy are so cute playing in the snow together. I bet Daisy would like playing the snow. Lizzie would probably turn up her nose at playing in the snow because she's a brat -- but don't tell her I said that!

Wow... this is sooo COOL !!!
The dogs were having so much fun there under the snow. They're not cold at all cos of their warm fur is protecting them from the frozen temperature.
Great shot you have there, Marcia. You make me feel as if I was there with the dogs. BRAVO !!!

Come and take a look at mine. You'll like it a lot. I promise (^_^)v
I'm just sooo GLAD I could make it for this week's challenge.
See you in Mona's challenge, but now I just need some goodnite sleep.

Iain says, "Ummmmm! I'm telling!" He's a brat too, but he's also the puppy and therefore the baby of the family, so I think he thinks it's his due. I'm sure they would all love playing with Miss Daisy - you'll have to drop by when next we have a decent snowfall. All the snow is melted and a good deal of it on the top of the mountain as well. Bill says he's not going to go skiing again until we get a decent new supply up there. Kinda' slushy evidentially.

Oh how funny! I'm amazed the two of them were left standing! They spent the whole afternoon out front running up and down chasing each other. When they got tired of that, they both chased the yellow Lab that lives next door. I think the two of them came inside and collapsed in a heap in the corner for the evening!
Take good care & Thanks for coming by!

I don't know how I missed this one, but apparently I did! That is soooo cute! I have lots of pictures of movement, but my new camera does something weird. The person or object that is moving gets blurry while the person or object beside it comes out totally clear. Almost every picture I look at Eric's niece's birthday of the presents being opened turned out that way. Eric's sister's nephew was 'helping' with the present opening. That kid is very hyper, and never quit moving. While Eric's niece turned out relatively clear, there's still this big blurry spot in almost every picture -- him. He meant well, but it was annoying seeing it on the pictures.
mpsmith1 wrote on Mar 18
Hi Michele,
Does your camera allow you to do specific type shots? Like Action, Portrait, Landscape, etc.? If so, you may have had it on the wrong setting. Just having it on Auto isn't always right either. Check your book and see. Besides, in this case, these photos would certainly have qualified as "Movement"!!! Take good care - Hugs
